EVALUATION OF OCCUPATIONAL RISK
An evaluation of occupational risk is the prevention from accidents and occupational diseases.
The purpose of the occupational risk’s evaluation is to determine and evaluate the existent risk, or the risk that may be and remove it. If it can’t be removed, measures of prevention have to be implemented in order for the employees to be safe from risk, or, as far as possible, to minimize it.
The risk evaluation is conducted via the following stages:
1. Preparatory work;
2. An analysis of risk factors, determination of risk value, taking up a decision regarding the risk acceptability;
3. The removal of risk or its minimization;
4. Observation of risk.
The implementation of the occupational risk evaluation process in the company will help to ensure the effectiveness of the business and the preservation of the health of the most significant resource in the company – the employee.
After the occupational risk evaluation is completed, you will find out:
1. The real state of work safety and work conditions in the company;
2. How to enhance the work conditions according to the submitted Conclusions of Occupational Risk Evaluation.
3. In which areas of work is the risk not acceptable and in which it is accepted and tolerated. Where collective safety measures have to be implemented, or, maybe, should the employees be supplied with personal safety means;
Labour productivity, better work results will be achieved, if the employee work conditions are good and health-ensuring. When the employer takes care of the safety and health of the employees, it is a huge means of motivation for a good and productive work.
The companies, which satisfy the European Union’s requirements, can compete as equals with companies of Europe; their market expands.
On 1st of November, 2012 the Occupational Risk Evaluation Regulation has been changed. According to the new Act, risk evaluation has become more differentiated.
